Blogs are funny; they're writing, but they're not books or a magazine. They are much more immediate. Since they are usually meant to be read daily, if the blog disappoints for more than a few days, readers visit less. It's pressure, that's for sure, and it's why your analogy with the bar is accurate! One dumb sentence and you are out.
