Hi Mike! As the years roll by with your girlfriend, there's something you need to be very clear about: It only gets worse. "Worse," as in your girlfriend will begin controlling the content of everything that comes out of your mouth. At home, at work, at a ballgame...just give in. It's less painful. :-)

My God... this is so true. I'm not married, but my girlfriend has already caused me to say things that I would never dream of saying. What is it with this female mind control??

I enjoyed this post so much. It touched on many funny cultural things - shopping, women, being a dad and husband. I loved the images- watching TV in bed, shopping, setting TV recording schedules- we're all familiar with those.

I also liked all the funny twists, like waiting in line for beer behind tough guys who are talking about... shopping. You got all of this in just one post!

I wrote about you on my blog- see the Feb. 25 entry!

There is absolutely no shame in loving Project Runway, my friend. Just make sure you tell your friends that it's about Heidi Klum and the models, not the sewing.

Can't help you with the Oprah and QVC, though. Is it possible that those are NOT attributable to The Power, but to some English beef you consumed back in the 80s that might be leading to Creutzfeldt-Jakob or something?

That is too cute. I used to catch my husband watching Little House on the Prairie. He was a contractor and biker. Everyone has a soft side.
