The CG Program: Thursday, July 23
Christopher Gabriel | Jul 22, 2009 | Comments 0
On today’s program, Stormtracker Meteorologist Rob Kupec joins me in studio filling in for the vacationing Daryl Richison.
Also, it’s New Music Thursday. However – I’m told by our crack staff (Erik) that our musical guests may…may…not be able to make it in this morning. Apparently, due to some scheduling conflicts, we’re looking at a gametime decision. This has clearly been the week for schedule snafus.
Today’s talkers include a discussion on cars + cellphones = lethal…there is some disturbing information that may make you think twice when you grab for your cell while driving. Michael Vick – we’ve talked around it, now let’s talk through it: Should he be allowed back in the NFL? Obesity reality shows – good thing or bad? And a bit more on the incident in Cambridge, MA where the Harvard professor, Henry Louis Gates Jr., was arrested for alleged disorderly conduct directed toward a police officer. The story seemingly came to an end yesterday with a joint statement from Gates and Cambridge Police saying it was a bad misunderstanding. I told you it wasn’t over…and it’s not.
Along with the usual players – Top 5 @ 10, The One Minute of Your Life You’ll Never Get Back and This Day in History – we’re all set for Thursday’s program, Live from Fargo.
Join me this morning from 9 to Noon on AM 970 WDAY. If you’d like to stream the program, simply click the ON AIR sign:
