The First CG Column at The Forum

Beginning today, my weekly column appears every Sunday in Fargo’s daily newspaper, The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead. It’s a wonderful opportunity to continue fulfilling a creative passion of mine: Writing.
And although my plate is nearly full, with work on my radio program and now writing for the paper, it’s not that full that I won’t have time to continue writing Blog Harbor. I suspect BH will take on and tackle topics and issues from current events, sports and everyday life that don’t make it into the Forum.
Of course Eye on Monday will be returning with new images, photo essays and the occasional video…perhaps more than just an occasional video…as will the continuing Wisconsin, and now North Dakota, journey of Nikos from Paxos.
A quick note on Nikos since so many of you have asked about him: He’s doing quite well adjusting to North Dakota though it was difficult for him in the beginning.
No sooner was he settled in on the the farm in western Wisconsin, we had to uproot him. After an extensive clearing process at the State Department, we finally got him up here.
His biggest disappointment was leaving Fiona behind. He and the 14-month-old goat became quite enamored of one-another during his time on the Wisconsin farm. Fiona made three attempts to get into the car with us, the last one turning quite ugly. Once order was restored, we hit the highway.
Nikos said nothing for five hours. No one likes saying good-bye to a goat, especially Greeks.

I was in love with a goat once. Sometimes I dearly miss those times. The way she’d look into my eyes…
… I mean …what?
Just kidding. I didn’t grow up THAT close to the southern Missouri border. Anyway, I think it’s awesome that you’ve got your own column now as well. What’s next? TV? Or here’s a suggestion… an hour or two of sleep here and there.
