I’m hearing talk.  Lots of talk.  But it’s all been very hush-hush: Hints in emails, a cryptic text message, the occasional voicemail, a large envelope… it all centers around a video from the Singing with the Stars event at Divas and Rockstars in West Fargo that, allegedly, exists.  I’ll hear a name, a drop point, a contact… it’s all very mysterious.

It was a wonderful evening for everyone but trying to obtain possession of what is surely 60 minutes of pure DVD gold (copper, gold..it’s all the same) has become tantamount to securing high-level information from the National Security Agency.  

Divas and Rockstars owner Jill Carlson, when asked about the “official” video on Monday, sang a hurried “I don’t know what you’re talking about” before ducking into a car and speeding off. 

Later that day an oversized envelope arrived at my office.  It turned out it was from Ms. Carlson and it contained a strange combinations of letters, exclamation points and lyrics to a song written in Portuguese.  I’m still unsure of its significance but I’m told it was “a message.”

On Tuesday, my pal Jennifer sent along the following 17 seconds of video in an email.  When I asked her if there was more than just this snippet, there was a lengthy pause followed by several female voices whispering in the background.  Finally, she said “…um…maybe.”  And then she hung up.  Intrigue, mystery, drama.  Welcome to the world of karaoke.
