A Cup of Christmas Tea

Longtime North Dakota radio and television broadcasting legend Boyd Christenson died on December 22, 2009 at the age of 73.  Boyd spent nearly 50 years as a broadcaster, many of those at WDAY.  He was a talk show host (“Viewpoint”), the Voice of the (NDSU) Bison, three-time North Dakota Sportscaster of the year… he was in many ways, a member of every Fargo-Moorhead family.

A tradition of Boyd’s around Christmas was reading the heartwarming story by Tom Hegg, A Cup of Christmas Tea.  Although CG never had the honor of meeting Boyd, reading this story on the air, on Christmas Eve, seemed a fitting way to pay tribute to one loved and respected by so many.
